Armadale Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service
The Armadale Fire Brigade was established on 15th March 1961 and was occupied by the volunteers. The fire brigade turned out to its first call on the 9th of September 1961. In 1984 the permanent firefighters moved there as well to help the volunteers cope with the growing population.
